Let me tell you…finding an outfit to wear for St. Patrick’s Day is really  hard.  There is a fine fine line between Kermit the frog green and looking like a Christmas tree.  There’s also the little matter of St. Patrick’s Day falling in the middle of the week….which means that for most of us, the stereotypical “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” shirts are out of the question.

Also, did you know the reasoning behind wearing green?  Maybe I’ve lived under a rock or maybe it’s because I was raised in a Italian-American family…but I am in my late 20’s, and just learning of this reasoning now.  If you didn’t know, here’s you’re fun fact of the day.  It’s a tradition started by Irish immigrants, who believed that wearing green made you invisible to leprechauns.  If you don’t wear green, you are susceptible to be pinched to remind you that leprechauns could sneak up at any time.  Who knew?

I love the fabric of this shirt, along with the color and the length.  It’s extremely forgiving, to hid the winter weight that I know I put on.  I’m also really digging this bag too; it looks like the bucket bags that all the designers are putting out this season and last, but for a fraction of the cost.

It seems that I am at the age that all my friends and cashing in the beer bottle, for the baby bottle.  It started out with my friend Tricia, but now I feel like I am going to a new baby shower every few months.  A few weeks ago, my good friends from college, Daniela, announced that she was expecting her first child with her husband.  We were texting back and forth shortly after, both about fashion and about my blog, and I offered to put together a post with a maternity option for her, especially during the summer months (she’s due August 6th).

I was looking for something that was comfortable, able to be dressy or casual, and budget friendly…since kids ain’t cheap.  I played with outfit after outfit, until I decided upon this one.  I love how the coral accessories pull out the color in this maxi dress & are such a fun pop of color for the upcoming warmer weather.

We’ve been pretty fortunate in New York to have had a decently mild winter so far, and now with the warmer temperatures, you can feel spring just around the corner.  To be honest, I can’t wait.  I’ve never been a winter girl.  Snow, cold temperatures, heavy coats, slush, and dry skin just Continue reading

Last weekend, I attended my childhood best friend’s wedding.  It was a beautiful black tie wedding at a swanky New York City venue, which I can only guess is a social club when it’s not being rented out for private events.  The whole event oozed romance from the Continue reading
